Everyone has a lake.
Maybe it's the one you grew up swimming across. The one your grandfather kept a boat on. The one you drive an hour to reach because the sunset there is different than the sunset anywhere else.
This collection started with mine — Lake Zoar, at the end of an evening when the water went copper and the hills went black. That photo lives inside the letters now.

Horizontal photos work best. Shoot into the light, wide enough to catch the shoreline. Phone photos are fine — the ones that matter usually are.
